Why I Do a One Day Fast Every Week

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I am a big fan of fasting. One of my favorite practices that allows me to feel my best is doing a one day fast. A one day fast can help to improve autophagy, reduce inflammation, support the immune system, and boost energy.

In this video, you will learn about the benefits of intermittent fasting and why taking a break from eating is a good idea. I will share three one day fast strategies that you may try. You will learn how to do a one day fast, what to drink, when to exercise, how to break the fast, and how to support elimination. For more info go here:

  1. I have a neighbor who skips breakfast and says he eats just 2 meals a day. He is also is a good 20 lbs overweight. I've been to dinner with him and he eats enough for two people. Ha. Intermittent fasting is not going to work unless you eat normal portions when you do eat. I'm going to try one day a week fasting as described here with water. And eliminate snacks during the rest of the week. I'm not way overweight but need to lose 10 lbs.

  2. Do you also do intermittent fasting in the weeks you do your whole day fasts? I'm fighting to hold on to every bit of weight I have so I am very wary of fasting at all…

  3. I really need to become more disciplined again…I think starting out with a sincere prayer and 12-24 hour fast can help in many areas of conflict going on in my life. Thank you!

  4. Is OMAD basically the same as what is referred to as a 24 hr fast. I've been doing OMAD for the past month with occasional 2 meals a day within a IF window. Hearing about the benefit of changing what we do. I need to lose 20 more lbs. Also trying to understand what a feast day really looks like.

  5. I've been doing 2 24h fasts twice per week for 2-3 weeks. It's getting easier and easier! Once I've lost the weight I want to lose, I'll reduce it to once a week and continue with fasting for 16-18h daily.

  6. Short , sweet very very informative video , loved this you made it to my saved ?wish could get back to my 48’s but I seem to get very emotional with them and can cry, to much mental clarity and can overthink back to past stuff ! Any thing you can think of why this may happen ? Thank you ? ??‍♀️

  7. I have been doing a weekly 48-hr fast and a weekly 48 hr feasting (consuming 100-200 grams healthy carbs per day) and the rest of the week doing keto with intermittent fasting. At 57 years old, I feel so much better than I did in my 20's and 30's… I love it! 🙂

  8. Aged 82, widower, taken an interest in IF for last 2 years. Mainly 16/8,18/6, which I find comparatively easy (just delaying breakfast really) roughly once a month I seem to fall into a 48 hour fast more or less by accident. I do Cardio in a fasted state most days, cycling, swimming, (can’t walk far, bone on bone medial right knee), feel better than I was at 40
